Hiring a Full Time Bakery Production Manager

Seeking a Bakery Production Manager to lead a team of dynamic bakers and oversee production to create some of the best-baked goods in Toronto. At Sweet Flour we deliver simple sweet moments to customers across the country through our fresh baked treats. We distribute through our online store and to over 45 high-end retailers across Ontario ranging from gourmet grocers to independent coffee bars.

We are looking for an organized, hard working, fun individual with management and bakery production experience interested in a long term career with a fun and growing company.

This role reports to the Chief Baking Officer and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead a team of scratch bakers to produce a variety of baked goods in high volume
  • Set weekly production schedule and priorities
  • Own quality control & product consistency
  • Evaluate ways to increase productivity over time
  • Maintain equipment & health and safety standards
  • Provide ongoing training and employee development
  • Maintain documentation and tracking procedures to ensure quality, cleaning and efficiency standards are met
  • Identify areas to improve productivity and work with team to achieve goalsAssist with product development
  • Provide input on scheduling
  • Order ingredients and manages inventory
  • Help manage logistics

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have at least 5 years in pastry / baking with a minimum of 2 years of management experience

  • Documentation skills are key and familiarity with word and excel
